The City of Yukon has an odd-even outdoor watering rotation program, based on the customer's address. The watering restrictions are always in effect and permanent. Additional measures may be added if drought conditions worsen.
Implications of Restrictions
Current outdoor watering is based on the customer's address. If the address ends in an even number, the customer should water on even-numbered calendar days. If the address ends in an odd number, the customer should water on odd-numbered calendar days.
The odd-even schedule refers to outdoor watering with an irrigation system or a sprinkler. You can hand-water landscaping with a hose any time, as well as use a soaker hose.
If future drought conditions begin to have an adverse effect on the water supply, a progressive conservation plan could be implemented. Go to the Oklahoma City Utilities Department webpage to view more information. Yukon implements measures when Oklahoma City does, per contractual requirements.
