A few years ago, the Parks and Recreation Department wanted Yukon Families to have an opportunity to really spread their creative wings at the Freedom Fest. Welcome the birth of the Sand Sculpting contest. Since its inception, this competition has grown in both participation and talent. Families that started off as first-time builders are now skilled sand sculpture artists. We still welcome all levels of entry and marvel at the wonderful ideas brought to life at this event.
